Mel is a fully-qualified Early Childhood teacher based in Taupo.

Mel is passionate about providing children with inviting learning spaces that foster learning and development. Mel values respect, authentic relationships, and offering children an unhurried environment where children can learn and develop at their own pace. Her environment is well resourced, inviting and offers opportunities for rich play both indoors and outdoors.

Mel offers a play-based learning programme that celebrates and extends child-lead interests.

Mel writes:

I have had a passion for working with children for as long as I can remember. Having my own there beautiful children has just increased my passion and desire to become a he best Educator I can to help out future generations strive to reach their potential.

My personal beliefs and values about teaching and learning which contribute to my philosophy of teaching is child lead, with an emphasis on respect for children as people with feelings.
